It all depends on where you are for that Elitist. Here locally that would be considered OK price, some other parts, really high. Few years ago I bought very similar elitist to that one on eBay for $500, but prices have gone up a bit and there are less and less of them for sale. If you think it's worth it, then it is a good price.

Thanks. I thought the price was a little high. It's been on CL for quite a while. Same with the Edwards.

Yes that's the catalog that's the closest to what i have, it arrived this morning.... dude drove it right to my house, lucky someone was home because it's a little cold to leave outside today in Canada. I wish i could read Japanese !! Its got a few scratches and a ding but i think i did pretty good, it's my first full hollow body. Gonna give it a solid round of play now to see what she's all about.

Perhaps one of the local resident translators could translate catalog specs for you :)

Hey thanks cvrle1 for the info. Not sure why the ebay listing won't work anymore .. the item number was 221668216436 if you wanna have a look.

Cheers

Its just the kind of guitar i like, used but not too abused. The frets are like new and i think i know why, the guitar prefers a light touch to ring true, it's well made like i expect from Japanese guitars, very easy to play neck but unforgiving soundwise if you hit a sour note ... its damn sour lol. Just my first impressions, and it needs a good setup for sure, very pleased over all so far.

Wanted to see what would be a fair price for 1980 LS-80 Reborn Old Goldtop? I know prices would be a bit different between Europe, NA and Japan, so if you know price for all 3, even better. Thanks for the help :)

Local deal?
$1500 is fair (IMO depending on condition) if there are no issues.
