I'm still really digging it.
I've read the books and thoroughly enjoyed them so that's probably helping.
I will say that "The Master" looked incredibly ridiculous and laughable when they showed him last night, that was disappointing.

I like it, too. Great show. It gets better with every episode, imo. Yes, they could have done better with the Master, but it was okay. I'm liking "The Intruders" too. Funny to see a young girl look up at an older women and say, "Nice tits." You never know what's going to happen next on that show.

100% agree on the character development.
That's one thing they are totally dropping the ball on.
The books really excelled at this, it's unfortunate that they didn't take the time to properly translate it to film.

until last night when they actually began to make a nod towards some kind of reactionary civil unrest, it was astounding that given these creatures have been all walking around nyc eating people, no one seemed to notice and life in the city went on as usual

I am in this school right now as well. I almost don't want to watch the episode that aired on Sunday. If there is noting else to do, but hey my guitar's are on the wall saying come play me.... so The Strain may be at the Straining point...

When they showed the Master's face I literally LOL'd. I'm kinda pissed they've went three episodes without addressing those weird Black Ops vamps who are helping the humans.

Or less time and just went in the complete opposite direction.

He looks like a mix between an elf, the Grinch, and this dude down the street with the creepy pedo-smile.

I watched the whole show and mostly enjoyed it. I think the main character, Efran?, seems over the top with is illogical behavior. That bugs me more than the cartoony "Master".

Kinda odd show, but seems entertaining enough.

They have a lot of directions they can take it.

Gotta wait until 2015 to find out.
