I also think that her being Luke's long-lost daughter would be a little ridiculous and stupid, it would require a lot of explanation of Luke's backstory, it would need introducing a brand new character (her mother) who audience members are not likely to have any emotional tie to, etc. I think there's maybe a 5% chance that she's Luke's daughter.

Actually that's not true. JJ said that her parents were not in E7.According to Actress that plays Rey, BOTH parents were introduced in Ep 7, though not introduced AS her parents. Luke and Phasma?
