weather cooling down, I can work again, been 95 degrees all summer long

Ain't that the truth...

Getting the urges to take care of some unfinished business myself. Oh, before you go any further I'd like to suggest a wild Koa top this time around. :naughty:

I missed the 1st build.
I missed the 2nd build.
But I'll be damned if I miss the 3rd.
Amazing builds Scatter, I can't wait to see how this turns out.:thumb:

Those are great Scatter. Any thoughts on doing something different with the headstock like maybe PRS or Samik style. I think that would look freaking stellar.

headstock will stay the same but maybe I'll shorten it by a half inch so it will fit the LP case a little better

It's back!

F#CK YAAAAAA!

Skatter, these are my favorite build threads! This is going to carry me through the winter with all the awesome build shots coming out of the sunny swamp.

Whatcha got in mind for this one? Anything special up your sleeve?

I'm hunting down some special wood for #4

this one will have a Maple top, the next one will be different, maybe if I can find some free Koa:)

I like this thread in ways that aren't appropriate to post on the internet.

got some Ebony in the mail today :)

DSC02797.jpg

anyway time to hog this thing out, I set the drill press depth to leave 3/8" of wood under the drill bit point

DSC02799.jpg

then thought I better route the cable channel before I forget

DSC02801.jpg

drilled out a bunch of wood and routed to my pencil line, doing a little drilling and the a little routing so I always have a some wood under the router base

DSC02802.jpg

routed down to the bottom of the drill point holes

DSC02803.jpg

really came out nice, no tear outs :fingersx:

DSC02804.jpg

sprayed a little black nitro in there, body as is weighs 3 Lbs
