FS: Bartlett-top 59 Replica

Posted this one before but always had a change in mind, couldn't let her go. After many MIJ, Historic and Vintage LPs this has been the ONE for me in the last few years. Circumstances happened and it's time to find a new home for her.

Built by local master builder from real lightweight old-growth Honduras mahogany body, Canadian hard rock maple top sourced from Tom Bartlett, old Braz board, historically correct top carve, glues, hardware, electronics, etc. Currently equipped with Custombuckers. Weight: 3,8 kg. Has the early 2000's Lifton case that is highly sought after (the Costa Rica one).

Fast price: 3500 EUR + shipping. Located in the EU. Shipped by UPS or your preferred courier.

Would anyone be interested in a Greco RJ85 circa 88 or 89? Couple knobs replaced with Gretsch knobs. Bigsby works but the handle has some strange “play” to it or maybe not because I’ve never owned a bigsby too long.

It’s got a great Les Paul meets filtertron tone, holds tune like a champ, looks neat, and more importantly for me has a profile closer to a Gibson than a real flat/skinny Gretsch.

This is just a feeler before reverb. God am I sick of the people that frequent that place, haha. Pm me any interest please!

Bacchus BSG-68 Made in Japan (early vintage series)

Payment by WISE or Paypal in yen. Several countries went back on the "no Japan Post air parcel" list but USA from Japan is still a go. Sea shipment may also be a possibility for some countries at about 10,000 yen less. I'll ship with a decent well-padded gig bag.

My guitar stash is down to the low teens now but I still need to part with a few more. Here is a Japanese Bacchus from the 1990s (pre-serial) that came to me with a couple of single coils in it and ended up in a bit of a makeover.
I put on an Allparts pickguard (orginal screw holes were filled in), added CTS pots /PIO caps, and put in a set of alnico pickups that came from a Bacchus semi-hollow guitar. The pickups sound very nice in this guitar.

Just 3.2 kg/7.2 lbs with frets and neck in good condition. There are a few small finish chips and some dents on the sides. The neck is a slimmer style. measuring 20.5 mm behind the 1st fret and 22.5 mm behind the 11th. The jumbo frets give it a thicker feeling when playing. It is a great sounding and playing guitar.

1980s MIJ Burny RSA-100 (ES-335). This guitar came out of Tokyo from a dealer. It's in nice overall condition however please note there are finish cracks throughout from the guitar having been shipped during a particularly cold winter (I believe it's poly finish btw). They don't show up in these pics so ask for close-ups if interested and I'll try to capture them. Structurally, there are no issues however. The guitar has been modded as well (see below) so, in totality, should be considered a player's grade instrument. The main reason I'm selling is I have an ES Tokai I'm attached to which is a better fit for me sonically (the Burny is the better built guitar though).

Features:

Flame maple top and back C-shaped neck (more 60s than 50s) with volute
Dot rosewood fingerboard with fret edge binding
Straight neck, excellent frets, recently set-up
Original hard-shell case

Modifications:

Seymour Duncan Phat Cat pickups
Grover tuners
Authentic Bigsby B7 (non-Vibramate)
Straplocks

$1000. I cover shipping, buyer covers PP fees. Please ask all questions ahead of time as sale would be final. I'm not the original owner so don't know the full history but will do my best to provide any additional info that's requested. Thanks for looking!

This is what I just got a few minutes ago:

Edwards 夜想, 有村竜太朗 model, the early version, slotted headstock, Phat Cat pickups.

I was about to buy a Casino with stock P90, or an ES335 and change its stock pickups with Phat Cat. But I think this Edwards looks more stylish. And it has final assembly done in Japan. So it's MIJ to some extent. That's important for me.

However I'm confused why it has a seemingly rosewood fretboard. All available info says both the early and late versions come with ebony fretboard. I guess is it's a very early version?

$1000 is a great price for an 80s anyletter-100, as long as it's in a good condition. And I think among three 80s MIJ giants, which are Burny, Greco and Tokai, Burny has the best value for money. I mean, for the same price, Burny offers better material and craftsmanship.

Probably a long shot, but does anyone have a set of 4 audio taper METRIC CTS 500k pots (unused) they would be willing to sell? Philadelphia Luthier is out of stock for the time being and someone wants these for a new wiring harness. Can't find any in the US. Shipping from Canada for just 4 pots would be $25. And price per pot from the UK is too high.

I'm checking the regular spots here in town. Can't find what you're looking for so far.

Do check out guitarelectronics.com. Their prices are good, but their shipping price is more expensive than Philly LT. At least for me.

Looking for a plain-top nitro finish MIJ LP, like a Crews KTR or Bacchus model of that sort.

If you have anything you’re looking to sell, feel free to message me!

Duke Standard?
