(The New) My Chemical Romance...

Ok ok, hear me out on this one. For starters, i know what you're probably thinking... 'EMO'.

First off, i want to make it clear i wasn't really a huge fan of their album "The Black Parade", it did come accross to me as emo-ish, although it did have a couple of good tracks.

This is where it gets interesting though, they are now a totally different band... very different music, and now have an immensely cheerful and colourful style.

Their new album "Danger Days" was released last week, and i'm currently listening through it just now (i have a few copies on order, but Royal Mail is going screwy again, so i've had to download it for now ).

Having previously heard a few of the new tracks over the past few weeks, i must say, the entire album so far has such a new and upbeat feel, i'm really digging it... it's just fun! Also, their new drummer, imo, has such a sweet groove to his playing, especially compared to their old drummer.

I realise most of you guys probably refuse to like this band, but i thought i'd post them up since i think they're worth a listen at least! Give them a shot

I think that Na Na Na song is absolutely terrible. But then again, my favorite song from them is Helena.

When i first heard that song, i wasn't really sure about it at all, but it really grew on me. I like the song now, but i wouldn't say it's my fave on the new album.

I was talking to my uncle at Thanksgiving dinner last night and it turns out that one of the guys in his band is the uncle of one of the guys in My Chemical Romance. My uncle is 70-something years old and plays trumpet and sings in a lounge band so he has no idea who MCR is but he threw that out there anyway.

lol! Yup! I told him that they're a very popular band who tours all over the world; he was impressed!

They've definitely improved. You can tell they grew out of the Emo thing.

I'm interested to hear how they do in the future.

I think what they did with Desolation Row was pretty cool.

I wasn't too sure about the album the first time I heard it, 2nd-3rd time around I grew to love it. I've listened to it about... 20-something times in the past 1 1/2 weeks (got the retail leak)

Also, the intro to Vampire Money reminds me of Ballroom Blitz...
