I've shared a few of these on this forum previously, so I'll consolidate and add a new one. These are genuine recent experiences of my being defeated by technology. Learn from my failures.

When researching dye ratios for finishing a guitar with a translucent amber finish, do NOT google "spraying trans amber" under any circumstances!

Concerning modifying a 1970's silverface Fender amp, with no bias adjustment pot, to the previous blackface circuit which includes a traditional output tube bias pot, googling "1960's blackface bias pot" will return rather unanticipated results about the history of racism and marijuana in the US.

I was researching Duncan Hot Rails, looking for sound clips.

I had no idea that "Hot Railing" was a thing... and am really surprised that Youtube allows/allowed it.
Worse... I was on the work computer.

I dunno, Vic.
I don't tend to read the threads that Joe B posted on so missed most of his postings. Only vintage Gibby's I'm really into are mandolins and mandocellos. Well, vintage Gibby acoustics are cool, but I'm set with my J-200. I'd be down for another K5 if one were to show up though. I'm a jazzmaster guy deep down when it comes to 'lectric guitars.
Anyways, I read back through JBs posts. Gotta say I think the forum is better off without that dude. He was rude and dismissive as all get out. Liked to call everyone 'son' when he was pulling the 'I have 11 bursts so shut up' card. IMHO he's a bit of an ass.
