Question folks - possibly very stupid.

I've got a black '83 deluxe with P-90s that I'll post once I get it sorted. I've bust a tuner, bought Wilkinson replacements, but the bushes are the wrong size.

The original tuners have screw-in bushes - so they're no good. I measured the diameter of the hole and it was almost exactly 1cm (0.39"). I got 1 cm bushes and naturally they don't fit. Do you guys know what I need?

Here I am in 1974 with my '73 Deluxe, running through the violin bit from Dazed and Confused. The guitar is long gone.

Here is my 1974 Deluxe that I bought in 1976. It's the only guitar I have owned since then. It had already been routed and the T-Tops installed when I got it. I LOVE this guitar.

Has anyone tried a Custom Shop Seymour Duncan Mini-Hum 3+3? Any differences with the Antiquities? I want to give my Deluxe a bit more 'bite' in the bridge position, and I'm seriously considering one.

My '83 Deluxe. It's been a bit of a journey. I couldn't quite bond with it until I realised I could replace the mini-hums with P-90s. It now has Jason Lollars. Best decision ever. The guitar suddenly justified its existence to me.

I've also finally got it working again after replacing the tuners with self-locking Grovers.

The specs of Deluxes really confused me. At last I found the 83 catalogue where it explains how they'd changed the spec towards vintage Les Pauls. I confirmed when changing tuners that the neck is mahogany. And it has the smaller vintage headstock and the closer to vintage headstock angle.

It's almost like they're two different guitars - the 1969 - 198? and then the last batch which were basically standards routed for mini-hums.

I'm about to put a Bigsby on this to turn it into the ultimate Carl Perkins-esque rockabilly machine.

Love this guitar.
