The Hockey World Mourns For Borje Salming

He had ALS and passed away Thursday in his home country Sweden.

The Toronto Maple Leafs held celebration for him with his family by his side a couple weeks prior. Tear jerker.

As a kid that grew up in the Detroit area I spent many nights watching Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts from CBC across the river.

I remember being a kid in the 70s watching Salming and Sittler tear it up on Hockey Night in Canada. During the break between periods we would play hockey in the front hall with those little novelty sticks. Some really pleasant memories there.
