yeah, that one is is not even a good fake. logo is of, headstock is to narrow and to tall, the open book it way too tall and not shaped right, the bridge is not right, bridge post has slots for a flat head screw driver, the neck binding does not cover the fret ends, bottom of the truss rod cover has been shaved down and is way to close to the nut that looks like plastic, nut has glue creeping out onto the first fret. I am glad no one bought this thing.

oh yeah, that one was not even a good fake.

the bridge was wrong, and had flat head slots in the post,
the body shape is off
the headstock was to tall
the finger board looked like baked maple or maybe rosewood, Customs have ebony finger board
truss rod cover is too close to the nut
serial number and made in USA clearly stamped in after it was finished
the neck binding does not cover the fret ends
the logo and headstock binding looks painted on
mother of pearl inlay on headstock is is not located right, and looks all stretched
clear the pups are not Gibson
the nut is made of plastic instead of corian
and it looks like fake Grover tuners

and that guy want 2,300 for a fiddle that someone got off ******. good thing the listing was pulled down, or someone would have got the royal screwing it they bought that.

So...I finally found 1 of the 5 historic collection Korina explorers that has been issued with a split headstock (2 were produced originally in 1958). Gibson has made 5 with that headstock design between 1993-2009. This is not the futura, this is an explorer. It took 5 years, but...BAM!! and guess where it surfaced? A used guitar shop in Tokyo! I was able to track it down (at Nico Nico guitars) with the help of our fellow forum member (meestursparkle by his eBay name). Taku at Nico Nico confirmed he had it, emailed me some detailed pics, wire transfer was done and here it is. 7 lbs 15 oz of screaming rock n roll goodness. Who would have thought I would find it at 3 am during a search of the website j-guitar.com haha!! Enjoy!! Now for the interesting details...this guitar was advertised on eBay by username tmg-jp (he goes by the name Akinobu). HE IS A FRAUD. He lied to me and said he owned the guitar. I was suspicious based on his pictures with a little small whited out box in the corner of the picture. Come to find out, he is ripping off pics from the real owners/shops, whiting out their watermarks and posting them on eBay for sale. If it sells, he is then trying to buy the guitar from the real owner to make a profit. He is currently under investigation by eBay and PayPal. Through much detective work I was able to track this guitar down to the real owner, Taku at Nico Nico guitars in Tokyo. He is a standup guy wth a great reputation that I will confirm. The guitar arrived as described, well packed within a week including customs clearance. So...I'm stoked, I helped uncover a fraud, and ended up with one of the rarest guitars Gibson has ever produced. That's a great week's worth of work haha. Keep rockin boys, and buy you some Korina, you won't be disappointed!!
