Do you seriously believe that those stats indicate a need for less gun control?
Yes.

Quite seriously.

Learn something about the issue - all the way to its core - and you will too.

Unless wishful thinking is your refuge - like many of the populace and most of the bureaucrats in Chicago.

Since cops never seem to show up at a crime scene until after the crime occurs, maybe we should just get rid of them too.

Do it.

Allow people to become self-sufficient and accountable for their own safety.

What a horrific, twisted, Constitutional (and proven) concept, eh?

I'll agree to the point that there are many more variables at play.
As it sits in Chicago, however, strict gun laws have not necessarily made them safer.
Gun laws for law-abiding citizens have NEVER been the issue in Chicago.

EVER.

The social fabric woven from servitude and free lunches, complete dependency on gov't - you're getting warmer.

And when the crime involves the property of those who avoid said lifestyles and values - it pisses me off.
I feel much better when all the murders are contained within the "peer group" of bottom-feeding quasi-humans.

In other words MOST of the crime is criminal on criminal - and those on the periphery such as family members.
The [email protected] want to destroy themselves no matter what we do "for" them with tax dollars.

Fix THAT Lunchbox.

And don't use tax dollars to do it.

Hey, you want me to believe (via incessant trolling) that you are a smart guy - let's see it.

If the goal is to prevent sales of guns to criminals and unstable people, then creating strict laws at the city or state level will only create intrastate/interstate smuggling.

Understood, that's been proven in DC as well. I'm still waiting to hear how you plan to solve that with some sort of "national gun control".

The murder map of Chicago almost exactly fits on the gang map -
...there are a few exceptions but the question is;
how do you get weapons out of the hands of teenage gangbangers without infringing 2nd Amendment rights?
Tough question.
No it's not.

Federal law - 21 years of age to own a handgun.
Or possess one.

Felons cannot possess ANY gun at all.

Gang members?
Guess what?

Enforce the fxcking LAWS, not the taxation that feeds this sh!t.

And finally, you get down to it and reveal yourself for what you really are: a bigot.
I'm not a bigot.
But you're a trolling fxcking ass hole for saying it and assuming it.

It's a fact that the resources required by these populations are incredibly expensive - and largely ineffective.
Most of them drop out without a diploma despite the best bleeding-heart/hand-wringing/web-trolling efforts.

Did I mention that you are a trolling fxcking ass hole for saying that?
Just wanna make that clear.

A certain country in Europe practiced this method in the 1930's-1940's. I'd prefer to not stoop to that level.

What has been proven to work better is a mandatory educational boot camp program for any minor that is caught committing a crime, or affiliating with known gang members outside of a family unit.

Grizzly Youth Academy

Currently this program has a 90%+ success rate.
Do YOU pay for it?

Do I pay for it?

Laws are already on the books for that.

Gun crime comes from CRIMINALS who don't BUY GUNS IN A STORE.

Which Constitutional rights would YOU exchange to make your national gun control happen?

Give it up.

ah the Klownz Corollary immediately following Godwin? Priceless. :thumb:

eta: regardless of socioeconomic, historical, etc causes, it is a FACT that 10% of the American population commits around 66% of all violent crimes...most of which where the victims are of the same demographic.

Be specific. Are you talking socio-economic, racial, gender, etc. demographics?
