Man, I don’t like green guitars and not a fan of signature guitars but I played an Anaconda Slash LP at the Gibson store in Nashville last year and that was the smoothest playing guitar I’ve ever had my grubby untalented hands on.
Tha Anaconda is so underrated… amazing sounding LP… and feels as it should for an R8 without the narrow frets.
The green burst also looks much nicer in person than on photos.

The books are now available to order from the UK with deliveries possible to the rest of Europe:

I had ordered a Deluxe from Gibson in the USA with planned delivery at a friend’s place for him to forward to me in Europe…. But Gibson were kind enough to cancel my order so I now have ordered one from Rufus in the UK, much simpler logistics…

Props to the Derrig that started it all, the rest just compounds the irony..
It's nice to hear straight from the horse's mouth, once and for all, that it was indeed a Derrig and not a Max, and that he still owns it.

Gibson just released the "Standard" edition of the book which is just the book with no swag, cover or signature for $149. The "Custom" is (surprisingly) still available at $999. Both of those make the limited-edition but sold-out $199 "Deluxe" look like a solid purchase.

UPDATE - Well it is March and the book finally arrived -- the Deluxe version. The thing feels like it weighs twenty pounds, very nice quality including the hard book sleeve it comes in. All of the swag that came with it was (thankfully) in perfect condition including a prominent and very nice Slash hand signature and an accompanying COA. There is lots more text in it than I expected, with a lot more reading required than I expected (a very good thing). I came to find out that the books editions are all different sizes too (Custom > Deluxe > Standard). I can tell you the Deluxe is pretty friggin' big, though. Deluxes are signed by Slash and limited to 1000 copies, and sold out many months ago. The much more expensive Custom (cost 4x over Deluxe) with even bigger size, its own a box and even more swag is still available at $1000. The Deluxe is a pretty cool purchase (happy customer).

My only complaint is that pretty much all the text seems like it was taken from the Gibson Slash Collection video from YouTube that went up a couple months back. It would have been nice to have some info, unique to this book, about acquiring some of the pieces, cool facts, etc.
Seems short sighted for the development team to not realize that the people shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a Slash Collection book wouldn’t have already seen the free Slash Collection video.
