It was, but the responsibility for the ship ultimately falls on the captain.the shadiest part of this story..
im 100% sure any ship that enters the canal ( i watched a documentary on the canal)- the Egypt authorites send one of their own pilots onboard... thats mandatory
so if the pilot messed up, it was an egyptian pilot that messed up..
Mmmm.... Asian backstraps.
It isn't just this incident, but global logistics right now are f*cked. It is taking me 6-8 weeks to get parts from Germany that should only take 3 weeks. My US manufacturing guys are running out of parts (from Asia...mostly China) and don't know if they will have to shut down the (printed circuit board) production lines due to lack of parts.
We had to wait 13 weeks for French Doors. Normal lead time should have been about 3-4 weeks. They were not custom sized, either.
People need to go the fuck back to work!
now youre making me hungry lol
Damn right they do.
This shit is pathetic.
We went out for breakfast this morning.... Wednesday. Place was fucking packed. In "the old days", it would have been us and about 5 other tables at 10:30am. And, they would have largely been retired folks like us.
Not any more... no one works. They all just eat and eat and eat and eat.... and then, they shop! I'd guess that 90% of the people there today were solidly in the "they should be at work" age group.
After breakfast, we went to look for a new car for the Mrs. We looked at Lexus, Benz, and Acura. Nothing in stock but the shit no one wants. They can't get cars. They even wanted to buy her Acura MDX on the spot. Begged her to sell it to them. Offered her st00pid money for it.
The sales people were saying they are dying. It's a commission only gig, and with nothing to sell there is no commission.
Acura told us that there will be no more MDX's until Sep. Lexus said no RX's until October. Mercedes got their last deliveries of 2021's three weeks ago. Nothing until the fall coming there way.
Sad.

why are you posting the truth in purple? you will confuse the n00bies.You're just jealous that you wasted your life working hard to put yourself in a position to now be going out to breakfast at 10:30am on a Wednesday.
These other "should be at work age group" diners got it figured out much earlier than you. Don't be mad that your life was ruined... be happy they are having the time of your life!
I wouldn’t agree that there are very many more people out and about than usual for a summer. It’s actually a pretty common occurrence for people who retire from a well-paying “regular-hours” office job to suddenly realize they never paid attention to how many shift workers there are. 10:30am is right about when I’d expect second shift breakfast. Working night shift I used to hear that “you’re lazy and don’t work because you’re not at work when I would have been at work when I was working” business surprisingly often while running errands during the day “getting in the way” of the retirees who were more entitled to be there. We went out for breakfast this morning.... In other words, you are the guy that used to be at work while second and third shifters were trying to get their breakfast and shop.![]()
@SteveC obviously found a few small, linty fucks down in the bottom of his pockets.
He's been holding out on us.
his feelings? which one? fear or anger?
you seem angry about those people being there.Disgust and disdain, manifesting into the need for rant. Don't overthink it.
