Don' t try to put a pickguard on the SG Special 3 knobs, stock is perfect

I’d never do that sort of evil sacrilege. I don’t even mod guitars for the most part with pickups and if a hardware piece is needed I find original.

I'd like to find out what they used for a body wood for the 1987, your info states three different varieties which I attribute to using them in different years and hopefully not from guitar to guitar in the same year.

I'll check the electronics compartment and lift the pickups out when it comes to see what it's made of. According to an updated delivery day UPS says Monday after changing from Friday to Monday then to Tuesday and finally back to Monday again lol.

Indeed I do.. it is the perfect guitar for me.. I like lots of other guitars, of course, but none compare to the SG
