I noticed one of Larry Corsa's conversions for sale here in the UK.

Has a slight split in the top seam, apparently.

Nice top indeed, and the slight split in the top seam didn't affect the sale much, as it's already gone.

Sad to hear that Peter Green died yesterday, he was such a wonderful guitarist. RIP Peter.

Just picked up one of the Long & McQuade from 2011. Still not sure if these were considered Standards or Traditionals. Neck feels in between a small 50's or slightly more rounded, less flat 60's to me (0.84" - 0.98") Most all the parts on it have been modded. This is my second one and both are excellent LP's. They really did this run well.

In the past 6 months the price of Faded Les Pauls for sale seems to have risen in huge proportions wherever I look (Ebay, Reverb and others.) Apparently the 'Covid crisis way of living' has generated a big demand for guitars (and apparently for Fadeds too) and the market is inflating berserkly.
2899€ for a second hand chambered 2006 Faded is surprising, when they were 1000€ cheaper in early 2020.
Now I'd like to see if it will sell for this price.

It has a 50's neck (LP5F written in the bridge PU cavity) and not a 60's neck as mentionned in the description.

I read through most of this thread before picking up this beauty from an old friend and bandmate.
2010 Serial number
2011 date on the inspection/packing slip
Virtually brand new and was a case queen in storage for most of its life while he toured on cruise ships for years until Covid.
He swapped the pickups for Burstbucker Pros with covers simply because he thought the zebras looked better in a different Les Paul
Plays amazing and I can see what the hype is all about.
However not sure if the lemon/honey colour is for me so could be a catch and release - though every time I pick it up its really hard to put down!

This is a beatiful guitar, exquisite (figured) plain top.
If "it plays amazing", it should be a keeper!

Love that top, the grain flows nicely and looks almost like a one piece top in certain angles. Gotta be one of the L&M dealer exclusives from 2011-2012. I dont think they did any other faded Traditionals during that time.

Ive got one from 2012, and its great. The color can vary wildly, though they are all called "Honeyburst". Mine is much darker. Its more a Teaburst, and the guy who sold it to me called it a Tobacco burst, but Gibson said it was Honeyburst finish on the spec sheet.

Neither would I.
I feel good having pulled the triggers sometime ago when they were cheaper on the second hand market.
Although all my Fadeds are keepers, I wonder if the prices will go up every year though.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that nowadays the Japanese are the biggest second hand Faded sellers (at least on ebay.) Speculation???
