I had the worst tennis elbow for months. I was calling it guitar elbow as it came about from spending days at a time lifting guitar cases, taking the guitar out, photographing them etc, then putting them back in the cases and putting them away. One of the worst parts was reaching over and picking up my drill for those that had to be dissembled.

It was getting pretty painful but I had to pack for a move, unpack and then go back to shooting guitars, and do a make ready on my house that included installing a very heavy wood counter-top and sink on my own.

It became excruciating and I had zero grip. I couldn't even reach over and use my right hand to adjust the sheets in bed.

My new neighbor turns out to be a car guy and had the same ailment. We were both to the point where we felt disabled. Had been to the doctor several times and had cortisone and was anti-inflammatory medicine for months. Did nothing.

Finally turned to the internetz. I would have sooner but I figured there would be no easy fix. I was wrong.

This thing called the Flexbar made by Theraband is an absolute miracle. Doing the exercise they call the "Tyler Twist" it literally started to work overnight.

I still have pain, that is slowly going away, but the real improvement is I can now grip things. No longer disabled.

Turned my neighbor on to it as well and it is pretty amazing as he is a serious skeptic. Worked for him too.

Only wish I had found it sooner.

I know this sounds like an infomercial but really is that good.:applause:

check it out...the reviews on Amazon as amazing because it really does work.

I only wish I had found it before it got so bad so if you have so much as a twinge of this get the Flexbar.

It's great you've found something that helps. These sorts of injuries/ailments can be really tough to treat and really debilitating. I've had minor "golf" elbow before a few times but always backed off and really rested my elbow to prevent it from getting worse.

My uncle is having a horrible time with tendinitis in his elbow right now (has been for the past 6-12mo) and hasn't been able to find anything that helps yet (cortisone shots, PT, stem cell injections, etc). I think they are just going to try to immobilize it for a while or something now.

for $15 I think it would be silly not to give it a try. It really is almost a miracle.

It also apparently works for golf elbow as well. Having been through what I have I would suggest you to get one as a preventative.

I used to get it real bad playing racquetball. Like literally my arm would be in throbbing pain and I couldn't continue the game. I started using one of those little straps that immobilizes the tendon in your wrist/elbow area. Works like a charm. No more pain after playing. Similar to this one:

I have about 5 different straps...they helped on my earlier incarnations but this one they did nothing....

I get it in both elbows but thankfully only mildly. When I get up in the mornings it takes a few minutes to loosen up but that's as bad as it gets usually. I think I'll invest in one just to be on the safe side. Thanks for the tip.

One day Bill complained to his friend, "My elbow really hurts, I guess I should see a doctor."
His friend said, "Don't do that. There's a computer at the drug store that can diagnose anything quicker and cheaper than a doctor. Just put in a sample of your urine and the computer will diagnose your problem and tell you what you can do about it. It only costs ten dollars."
Bill figured he had nothing to lose, so he filled a jar with a urine sample and went to the drug store. Finding the computer, he poured in the sample and deposited the $10.
The computer started making some noise and various lights started flashing. After a brief pause out popped a small slip of paper on which was printed:
You have tennis elbow. Soak your arm in warm water. Avoid heavy lifting. It will be better in two weeks.
Late that evening while thinking how amazing this new technology was and how it would change medical science forever, he began to wonder if this machine could be fooled.
He decided to give it a try. He mixed together some tap water, a stool sample from his dog, and urine samples from his wife and daughter. To top it off, he masterbaited into the concoction.
He went back to the drug store, located the machine, poured in the sample, and deposited the $10.
The computer made the usual noise and printed out the following message:
Your tap water is too hard. Get a water softener.
Your dog has worms. Get him vitamins.
Your daughter is using cocaine. Put her in a rehabilitation clinic.
Your wife is pregnant with twin girls. They aren't yours. Get a lawyer.
And if you don't stop jerking off, your tennis elbow will never get better.

I have had a mild case of tennis elbow for about 3 years now. It gets worse and then better depending on what I am doing.

I have a bad case of tennis elbow . I finally discovered the best thing for it is stretching .

say its your left arm . extend your left arm, take your right hand and push your left hand back as far as you can while holding your arm straight . The push it as far as you can the other way .
do this a lot until the pain subsides . usually about a week

This one exercise has all but cured my tennis elbow
