Damned song popped into my head out of nowhere and got stuck. Now it's your "problem" too.

Note to self: Need to get one of those rad bass amps that Geddy Lee is using.

Are you talking about the dryers? :laugh2:

GL has said in a number of interviews lately that he doesn't use amps anymore.

That guy is a drumming savant.

I read an interview or article with/about him where he wasn't getting anywhere as a drummer, basically saying that he was good, but nothing unusual. He then decided that he needed to reinvent his playing style and woodshedded for a long time to get to they style he has now. So, probably not a savant, but a guy who gave a lot of thought to what he wanted and how to get there and then practiced a lot.

Right. Supposedly he goes directly into the PA. The dryers and vending machines he uses have been more or less a parody, something to set up behind him to replace a stack.

I've always thought Ged's tone on Moving Pictures was the best distortion I've ever heard on a bass ... the outro to "Red Barchetta" alone just tickles me ears. "Camera Eye" too has richness written into it.

I love 2112. And, I've always thought of the first 4 Rush albums as their best.

Rush - The best thing to come out of Canada since Molson Beer!

They are playing this on their current tour. And the entire Moving Pictures album. Saw them last August. Definately go if you get the chance.

Not a problem! One of my all time favorites. We played this in HEX.

They played side 1 of "2112" on their Test For Echo tour. Even had the water sounds flowing in the background while Alex "learned" how to play the guitar during "Discovery". Wicked cool stuff.

Amen! Great job, 76 :D

I tend to play it mostly in the open chord positions, but your Barre chord approach adds a little more nuance.

Then again, I'm a $hitty guitar player. :laugh2:

I'm calling out Mike (Blakem) here to check out his version.
