You can take the tape off now, and scrape the over spray while you're waiting for the "cure". In fact it's maybe easier to do so when the finish is still "soft".

Wow, that back is seriously dark. I like it, though. Have you tried to place the cavity covers to see if any of that nice light wood color peeks through? If so, spray some of the colortone into its lid, and then use a small brush to apply the tinted lacquer to the light spots.

the covers fit perfectly and do not allow the cavities to show through...

next time i spray another LP however, i will not cover the cavities. they look kinda strange

well the soldering still isn't done, it will be tomorrow. i am tired, i've been working on this guitar for over 9 hours today

first off, a bunch of pictures while the sanding and buffing were in progress...
