so that's a new bridge, and the us custom shop has another cool bridge like a cross between a tune o matic and telecaster saddles.

Leo did it first. A Strat is a Tele with an upper horn and a few bevels

I don't think a trem on a tele is all that new. Tokai Japan has been using the Maverick Super Vee Trem on their Teles as an option for quite some time.

of course its still a tele, because its tele shaped.
well, that and the fact fender makes the telecaster, and they labeled it "telecaster"

it doesnt hurt to throw a little innovation at your product now and then.
