I was just reading the whole atheist / religion thread, and Will had brought up a point about being "evangelized" by atheists. This reminded me of a similar moment I experienced over tattoos. Quite funny really. Was at a car show over the summer, talking to a guy about his '62 Impala, which was NICE
Anyway, the guy notices my fiance's ink (very unique yellow rose on her ankle) and they get into this whole conversation about ink and tats. So after a moment he looks at me and asks "so what have you got?"
None
"WHAT?!?! Oh, you're one of those guys... blah blah blah" and starts whining about people who don't appreciate ink and some other random crap I didn't hear because I was walking away. Before I left I did smile and him and say "have a nice day, hypocrite"
He was wearing a T-Shirt that said "the only difference between people that have tattoos and people who don't is that the people with ink don't give a shit that you don't have any" and named some tattoo parlor on it.
I have seen a lot of cool tats over the years, we've all seen some BAD ones as well. My fiance' has a few. My grandfather had one from his days in the Navy. I just personally have not found an image I feel I need to have imprinted upon me to make me feel whole.
