Switch wiring

I put new pickups in my guitar, Seymour Duncan Slash series.

When I have the switch in middle position and turn the volume all the way down on either pickup, the volume for both shuts off. That didn't happen with my previous set. What did I do wrong?

All the knobs work properly otherwise

Center lug on your pics looks like it's being grounded out.

Thanks for the response. Pardon my ignorance, but what does grounded out mean?

It means that the signal goes to ground, ie: the back of the pot, when it shouldn't.
Mistakes happen, don't let this little hiccup ruin your modifications to your guitar!

Just read I have to de-couple the wires in order to split the signal. Question is how lol

simple: use modern wiring on one pickup, vintage on the other.

Just looked up the vintage wiring. Seems like the capacitor needs to go on center lug. That will solve the issue?

Current tone pots
