Hello guys -

It looks like Sweetwater Gibson Les Paul inventory is starting to be making a comeback. Nice to see. It was about 5 months solid that they had nearly nothing in the Les Paul USA inventory. I bought my Les Paul 50s Standard in December - little did I know I was getting one of the last for a long while. Sweetwater really helped me out after they shipped out a few guitars that were no up to par so its nice to be able to help them a bit like this. :)

I'm all for helping everybody, but if they shipped you some substandard guitars, how is fixing that "helping you out?" I'm glad to hear that inventories everywhere may be catching up so buyers have choices again.

When are they going to revamp their photography?

Too much glare I'm out

Sweetwater is guitar porn junction.
Hang out in a barber shop: sooner or later you’re going to get a haircut.

Since “that which must not be named” started, I’ve bought an R4, a Slash Appetite burst,
an LP Special Tribute humbucker walnut stain, a Heritage Eagle Classic, a Hartke 2X10” bass cabinet, a Quilter Aviator Cub (combo amp), a set of SD alnico Pro II pickups, and misc. strings and parts, all from Sweetwater.

Also bought some mistakes at GC Chico, but they went back. Ick.
You want 2019 B stock for list? GC is your place.

I’m broke now, but my credit is excellent... :headbanger:

I agree - I shoot product photography for a living and it hurts to see what they have done - it could be so much better. They are lighting the guitars like medical supplies - not very becoming for a world class instrument of art.

Their old blue background photography was much better than the current white background.

Agree 100% - I don't know what marketing team of management approved of the white brick background but its just not working - it even takes away from seeing details witjin the neck and body that are similar in color to the background.

I noticed to that the exposures are varying within even each 4 of the same model - its gives the impression that body color & neck fingerboard colors are not what they appear. Unprofessional for such a large organization. In a fixed environment the exposure and strobe settings shouldn't vary much at all.

I received a brand new 2020 50s Standard at $750 off the current selling price for my troubles. I think they went far and away to help out a long time customer. That kind of service keeps me coming back :)

They did the same for me. I kept getting duds, one after another. Even had a set up done to try to prevent it and it still went wrong. Eventually, I got a winner and with the same rebate you did.

People can say what they want about Sweet Water, but at least they'll make sure you end up with a good guitar.

Glad to hear they took care of you as well. I received two very disappointing Les Paul Classics with some fairly obvious issues. After getting two Les Pauls back to back with issues Sweetwater shipped out a 50s Standard at no additional cost on top of my 10% discount on the Classic guitar.
It was the week before Christmas - I had no idea it would be 5 months before any stock would show up again! :)

I’ve been a Sweetwater customer for almost a year since some disappointing service from another large online retailer that I had dealt with for decades. The pictures could be better, but have been a good representation of the guitars I’ve purchased from them. The only issue I’ve had was my J45 developed some fret buzz, seasonal weather conditions- special ordered a new saddle and all is well. It is good the Les Paul inventory has started coming back because...another LP isn’t a bad thing.
