Zzounds and Sweetwater Customs are coming with the Wilkinsons now. I emailed Epiphone and they said the same thing syco posted above. They said they are 19:1 ratio vs. 18:1 that the Grovers are. They look identical to the Grovers aside from the name.

I have a brand new set of gold ones myself. I took them of my Broadway. I’m keeping them though you never know when you might need a set

Hey 60 bucks you have these :) I won't use the gold may as well sell off some of this stuff i have laying around. I bet you from the 12-14 epiphones i bought the past 2 yrs. I must have at least that many bridge and tail piece??!! All brandnew don't even get me started on the deluxe tuners i have like6 set of those. Should list them on Ebay and at least try and get something out of them right???

Just FYI, even the ones here now are advertised as having "Tuners: Grover Rotomatic 18:1 or Wilkinson Rotomatic 19:1" (though I haven't personally encountered one with Wilkinsons yet).

My LP Classic Worn in gold has the Wilkinsons I emailed my sales engineer and ask why they are listed in the description as having Grovers but the photos show the other brand. He stated Grover has been unable to supply Epiphone with the tuners. As long as the Wilkinsons are of the same quality I don’t really care anymore.

Maybe to save a few bucks? My Epi Standard 60's came with the actual Grovers but it wouldn't bother me either way. I've heard good things about Wilkinson.

I am finding these Wilkinsons aren’t the same quality as I am used to with Grovers. Most of them feel ok but the low E string tuner is a little Jerky. It’s not super bad but I’ve never felt this with Grovers. I have a set of gold Grovers from a switch I did on my Broadway. They are 18:1 but I don’t think the gold would look right on my goldtop Classic Worn. I’m thinking of replacing them with Grover Vintage Deluxe tuners. I like the look of this style like on my 50s Les Paul. I thought about emailing Epiphone about the switch going on at Sweetwater since they’re advertised on Sweetwater’s website as having Grovers but I assume they would just say they have the right to change specs as needed.

Do the Kluson Vintage Revolution Locking tuners, they look great on an LP. They look so much better.
