Swapping Gibson P90’s for...? NEED SUGGESTIONS!

That is a common misconception about P90s. What you perceive as "hum" is merely interference caused by traveling through the ether on it's way from the tone gods on Mount Olympus. Do not trifle with the "hum"!

Here's something interesting, if a bit off-the-wall...

Variax guitars model P90's very well indeed, but with no noise! Same goes for the modeling that they do of other single-coil pickup guitars.

I put a set of Seymour Duncan Custom Shop '59 Humbucker under Soapbar pickups in my '78 LP Special.

PAF style humbucker in a soapbar package. Added just the right amount of girth to this guitar.

If you call Duncan they will basically put ANY of their humbucker pickups in this package.

Lollar P-90 in my BFG is pure awesomeness. Best P-90 I've ever played. I don't care about no hum.
