I'm a fan of such movies, especially if they are good. My favorite survival movie has to be The Edge(97) which I've reseen half an hour ago. Great movie, definitely recommend it. It really proves again(like if it were needed) what a great actor Hopkins is, Baldwin too:thumb:

Another such movie I enjoyed, but which in my opinion was darker is The Grey, from 2011, starring Liam Neeson.

Do you guys know any other such movies worth seeing?

Wild - with Reese Witherspoon hiking the Pacific Crest Trail alone was interesting.

You could try:
A Lonely Place to Die (2011) Filmed in the Scottish Highlands & the scenery is outstanding.

The Way Back/The Long Walk (2010) WWII Escape from Soviet Gulag.

I had another one but forgot it while looking for those links so it can't have been that good...

The Emperor of the North. Bad ass Lee Marvin.

Lee Marvin, among others like Jimmy Stewart served combat roles in world warII.
Marvin was a Marine. I believe with the big red 1.
Stewart was i also believe a bomber piilot during world warII.

No matter..Semper Fi you SOB.
love the guy.

correct me if i am wrong.

"The Emperor of the North"

just watched that like 2 weeks ago. Good movie.

They should remake it. ..seriously. It was a good story that deserves a visual update.
