In December of '13, within days of each other, my wife and I each lost an uncle on each side of our family. My uncle was single, and his estate was finally settled last month. However, my dad, who's the executor of my uncle's estate, just sent me this as a surprise...

I know there are some gun enthusiasts here, and while this may not exactly qualify as a "firearm," I have fond memories of firing my dad's as a kid (he and my uncle purchased theirs at the same time), and wanted to share it with all of you.

It's a Crosman 1377 .177 pump-action pellet gun. And while it shows some wear on the barrel, it still shoots true. I plan on using it to educate my wife on gun safety (she's never even held one before).

While I miss my uncle, I'm glad I've got this to remember him by. :)

Thanks! It's strictly pellets. My dad sent a few along with it so I'd know which ones to pick up. Lookin' forward to giving it a proper test. :)

Wow that's nice..
I still remember delivering newspapers in the wind, rain and cold as a kid to save up money
to buy a Crossman Powermaster 760..Totally bad ass gun...
Still wish I had it but for some stupid reason I smashed it too pieces playing around
when I was a bit older and moved on up to real guns...
geeez what a dumb ass I was..

I had one of those. Shot it three times and went and got a c02 pistol. Freakin' workout pumping that thing up. Built really well though. Have fun :)

Condolences on the passing of your uncle. Nice Crosman. I have a 1377 mine can shoot either pellets or BBs.

My best friend bought one of these when we were 12...

I thought it was the most badassed thing I'd ever seen.

Mom wouldn't let me get one...I'm now 49 and still pissed about it.:mad2:

Kind of embarrassed to say this now but I terrorized many lizards in south Florida with a BB gun when I was a kid. So much fun.

Cool inheritence.
