Hey Duders...

Just wanted to tell you that I have recently done Bidness with two of MLP'S own, Skatterbrane Rod and Jonesy. They both were just awesome to work with.

Rod sent my pickups out about three days earlier than he said he would, and they sound like Sweet twangy when you want it but not too much awesomeness! I didn't install them until I ordered a wiring harness from Jonesy, He actually answers his phone... first try, and he helped me out.

Well he was also fast with the shipping and his product also is very nice.

now my LP has functioning volume and tone controls and I have a nice clear, articulate sound from my Pups...

So thanks guys! My guitar is just... way better now!

Rock on!:dude:

Great thinking. I know that they sure deserve their recognition around here. The guys that have done work for me have been outstanding and I can't say anything but good sh*t about them.:slash:

I have been thinking about a harness from Jonesy, between me and the previous owner of my SG, the pots are now in rather poor condition, the're scratchy and the shafts wobble.

I got a harness for my Standard from Jonesy, now I'm just waiting on my Pro Mods so I can put them in and actually be able to use my neck pickup again. :thumb:

Wobbly shafts are serious...

Jonesy will give you the goods.

Oh btw, now I can turn up my amp and set my gain level with my volume control on the guitar... I thought that only worked in movies.:thumb:

Have you seen a doctor?

He told me to walk it off, I have been walking for a few days now, the problem still persists, should I take some aspirin instead?

I think that the blame should go to the knobs and my lack of knowledge and that I didn't look over the nobs before I tried to take them off. The knobs that were on there I got it were tele-style knobs, that had the screw to keep the knobs on there. I hadn't encountered anything like that before, and I tried to just pull them off until I noticed the the screws.

They also crushed the split shafts so that three of them barely hold the standard knobs and the other won't let go. I think that it is time to change them out, and use that as an excuse to get a whole harness.

I can vouch for Jonesy, he's a great guy to do bidness with, and I'm sure Skat is too, but haven't had the pleasure yet.

No doubt about it, mistreated knobs will lead to wobbly shafts.

I've never had the pleasure of doing business with Skatt but I've read alot of good about him.
As for Jonesy. well Jonesy is Jonesy, He's the Jonesy that taught me alot about LP wiring(and even other technical stuff) when I was starting out :) I've done business with him too, straight up down to earth guy. Hats off to our MLP Vendors, but they're not just vendors, they're friends :)

This is why I love MLP

I try to keep all of my business with parts and things to do with making music better right here with the Home boys.
BUT..
When it comes to tubes, I keep my money here at home in Oregon with Brother Pletka just up the road.
well, I did win something on fleabay once. I was ecstatic and only spent $2.25.
