There is no denying depression this time of the year and sadly suicide goes way up. The holidays are tough for many, including me. They are UNBEARABLE for others and each and every year many people take their own lives around Christmas. This is my personal plea to anyone in this regrettable predicament.

That's a great thing to offer, Joey, and I hope that anyone in need takes you up on it.

This time of year really can be tough for some people. I, myself, will be spending the day alone as I have the last few Christmases. The first one was very depressing but now I've gotten used to it and still do my best to get into the spirit by making myself a nice little Christmas dinner with a good bottle of wine and watching some of the specials and movies on the tube.

I will say that being here on MLP and reading about everyone else's celebrations and parties and such does make me feel better about the holidays and gives me someone to share the holidays with. And if I start to feel down, I just pick up a guitar and play the feeling away.

Everybody always wonders why i hate christmas...

Lets but aside the fact that christmas is in the winter, I HATE snow, i HATE cold, i HATE 16 hours of darkness, and i HATE christmas music.....

and its still a giant paint in the ass..

Example..

A couple weeks ago, i bought my mom a mickey mouse watch.. a gold one, rather expensive, to replace the one she's been wearing for years..

I thought i was good to go..

last week, i found out that THE SAME DAY i bought it for her.. she bought the SAME watch at an auction for herself..

Now its the day before x-mas and i've been so damned busy, I haven't been able to rectify the situation...


Here i sit, at work, two people short because other asshats called off, and were' up to our asses in emails, phone calls and webinars becasue it MIGHT snow on wed. and menwhile we have to handle the regular bullshit load AND the secretaries got off three hours early, so now the TWO of us get to answer phones for the whole agency.... AND, the 50lb heads have all migrated back to pittsburgh for the holliday, so there's no one but the two of us in charge...

AND, i've got what presents i did manage / afford to buy to wrap..

AND i'm supposed to travel TWO HOURS after work to my girlfriends house, who's male son's present isn't finished because i had to f'n work today.. AND i had to take a trip with said girlfriend to visit her relatives near Erie from friday to sunday.

AND my friggin truck to a giant crap and i didn;t have time to fix it so i had to take it to a grage.. there's money I aint got anymore to pick it up incasde i have to use it to get to work because GODDAMIT you KNOW I have to go to work when it snows..

BTW, A job I friggin hate, that has nothing to do with the education i'm still paying student loans on whcih also takes time away from the job i WANT to be doing, and couldbe making money at if I had more time and just a bit larger customer base but doent come with healthcare....

And this is every goddam year... Christmas ends up as one giant stressful pain in the ass that i would rather not even deal with...

...the problem is when you're that depressed you generally don't want to talk about it. And a bunch of feel good, "look on the bright side" "things will get better" talk only goes so far, and sometimes it just pisses you off.

You kind of have to want to stop being depressed and voluntarily put the blinders on and ignore the things that depress you, or eat at you and make your soul bleed.

...or you just laugh, and laugh, .... and laugh,....

...so you don't cry.
