Studio Success? Yes 1 More Song in the Can

A "wired" Tim? I guess post-Fezz? Just got back from studio. A ROUSING Success?

Yes.

I got one more song on TAPE,atually on "digital" memory.

We used an old Korg with "ambient"sm58's and my Silvertone 1481 with BLING FUZZ set at a rumbling 10 oclock

I took Mrs. Fezz with me. We are greeted by deer as we pull up. Johnny Hate is "on". We load all the gear in. I tune up guitars. Pick up the Ron Wood ESP Tele.

The first song is Link Wray/ZipGun'61.

I HYPE the Ron Wood.

John has never seen it.

He is impressed.

John has his Rd Artist on a stand. A nice simple LudWig kit is ready. Johnny sets the levels. I hammer out Link/Zip. I play with the 4 way series ,sounds THRUSHING. My Silvertone was DIMED and breaking up to a point of almost "Fuzz" tone.

I actualy thought I had the BLING FUZZ engaged. No. I engaged BLING FUZZ for the HUGE "chorus" open B-D-C. Very NEIL Young

One in the can. Johhny lays down simple beats. Surf-Punk needs to be "bruised". I "clam" some notes. I never get a "perfect" take. Always some "static". Creates mood.


Next up 5 Chords. A Bo Didder . Simple chug. Clean cowboy chords. Foghat type riff at the outro.

The Ron Wood is sounding superb. I use a Nick Greer Angry Mark -dual boost and Silvertone 1481.

Wool city.

We get a powerful take. The Korg does not record the drums. Oh well.Johnny dropped the Korg when DRUNK! Moody+Bad Korg acts "out". No more recording tonight

I'm happy.

Another song "skeleton" to be "fleshed".

I didn't even play the Hamer.

Tele was "Too Hot" too put down.

It felt good to "create" tonight. I get tired of "trash-talk" I want to have some REAL product to push. Both songs I have recorded SHIMMER! New Religion is "Drone" Sg and Link is THICK Tele goodness. I'm impressed by the"busted" Korgs warmth.

We might go BADASS next session and record to REAL tape=Reel to reel .

We upheld the credo. So cool to be able to record "high quality"at a whim. Johnny and I were totally relaxed. The key is simple tones. Plug in a small tube and sizzle. I'm going to press some vinyl. I'll probably just "sit on it". The world does not deserve FEZZ! I'm a reluctant HO.

I love "slumming".I know better I don't want to hang up the FUZZ! I got at LEAST 10 more years of ROCK in me. I want to practice" the religion awhile longer.

Those used to inspire the hell out of me to play. I dont know what it was about Fezzrock but it made me want to jam raw rock n roll man. You dont post those anymore. Fuel my fire Tim. I have gone soft these days. Not enough chaos on the forums either.

Therm I think this is an extension of my earlier work. I'm going for a SPRAWLING double album ala Exile.

There are an Open G,Open D, my own"buttercup" tuning,Drop Double D dirges,acoustic........I'm putting all my VAST talent into this "work". If this caN'T "BREAK me" I'm done. I'll focus on my dancing,writing, and photography. I think this will be THE best album of 2012. HANDS DOWN! Pure Rock! Tons of tones. Cleans and means galore.

I'm HAPPY. I'm wearing a Raiders wool cap. Black Flag Tee, Black slacks. Black shoes. Mrs. Fezz has on Stones baby-tee and dark blue jeans. White+Pink Reeboks.

I see Johnny. Johnny is 10 years younger than me. HE LOOKS LIKE CRAP! Huge Bags under the eyes. Bushy beard. Blood-shot eyes. We hug.

The wives hug. Both are "hot". Mrs. Fezz looks like Natalie Merchant meets a young Sally Field! Mrs. Hate is thin and sexy. WE DID WELL

I go into Johnny's basement studio. It is gaudy. Disco lights. Zep posters. John is LIT! SWEETLEAF BLARESI plug in my Blue Ron Wood Tele. A 77 RD Artist sits on a stand.

I put my Silvertone 1481 atop Koch+BiLING FUZZ . Johnny positions sm 58. John hits play. I bust into Link Wray/Zip. WE SOUND GREAT! WAMBINGGGGG ROARRRRRRRR SPLIOPOPOLOPOPOL! A racket. Johnny's cats run. The brave wives stay.

We play 3 takes. 3rd is a "keeper" I make maybe 8 mistakes. Tough! I sound great. Johnny sounds decent on drums. He is a KILLER bassist +DRUNK. A Good guitarist. ALL HAIL MY NEW BAND ! Johnny +I will ? Who knows

We go upstairs and eat Philly Pizza. We BREAK John's stones about his alcoholism. I HYPE HARD! GREAT PROMO! WIVES ARE LAUGHING! JOHNNY EATS UP MY BS!

We go downstairs. I'm ready to JAM! We push record. I play 5 Chords=a Crossroads myth Punk blues. I play wonderfully. I'm pushing the 1481 with a Nick Greer ANGRY MARK dual boost. Warm +biting tone. The Korg DIES!

John was DRUNK and dropped it several weks ago. It is "touchy" now. Oh well, one song done. I'm happy.

John will get a new "used" Korg or we will go ANALOG.Reel to reel. I sound the same on ANY format. Real Rock ALWAYS Shines.

We leave and hug. Mrs. Fezz and I thunder down I95. I'm on FIRE! A FUZZGOD! She is impressed? Hell yeah she is.
