String Spacing ?? Bridge vs Pickup

I have a Gibson All American II (more or less a DC type melody maker) that came factory with a cheapo vibrato 6 point tremolo.....I am doing a complete overhaul with refin, new fretboard, and all new electronics. My question is the two point trem I want to convert two has 54mm string spacing and the P90 I want to put in the bridge position is 50mm. How bad with this effect the tone since the strings will not be directly over the pole pieces ?

Im not too fussed if the spacing is a few mm out, but 4mm id start to question things, id vote find one thats better suited, ask one of the winders in here to make one for you

Pickup height is a bigger issue than string spacing. Really, I wouldn't sweat it.
