Yeah the VR's were good. We used to joke there that we had vintage winders (old Vinci machines from the early-mid '60s) with vintage operators (many had been there 20+ years).


Edited: And I will add, these ladies made great strings. And we had a group of women who would hand-coil and package the strings. And they could spot a bad string by looking and feel. It sucked, our division was the cash cow of the entire company (over CS, Epi.... all of them) and Henry treated the Elgin workers like shit.
