I would recommend getting the shot versus the pills. I had pneumonia back when 911 happened. Four months later, I got strep in January. Having just recovered from pneumonia, they elected to give me the shot, and it worked fast. I remember wondering why the hell I would spend a week or 10 days taking pills when I can get a single shot.

Kids.....

Now it's Strep throat.

Will you be able to keep your appointment with the surgeon and did you ever get to sleep?
I'm sleeping fine now. Strep is gone, I've been on an antibiotic for a few days now. I think my swollen throat was making me snore worse.

FWIW, I used to have sore throat problems every winter. That was back before I started getting my annual flu shot. Now, it is rare for me to get sore throat, colds, ear aches, and such. My doc says that getting a flu shot decreases the chances of getting the other related diseases. Of course, it won’t help with a disease one already has at the time of getting the shot.
