I recently bought a used 2006 Standard LP and btw I'm wondering why I ever bought a new one.

But when comparing the behavior of the volume/tone pots of this one with others which I own, it seems to be different.

Toogle -> Rhythm (neck pickup):
- I can adjust volume and tone of the neck pickup as usual

Toggle -> Trebble (bridge pickup):
- I can adjust volume and tone of the bridge pickup as usual

Toggle in the middle position (mixed pickup):
- I can adjust the tone portion of the neck pickup with the neck tone pot as usual
- I can adjust the tone portion of the bridge pickup with the bridge tone pot as usual
- But: the volume pot of the neck pickup has no effect, I can adjust the volume of both pickups as a whole with the volume pot of the bridge pickup only.

On my other LPs, I can adjust and mix the portion of the volume with the appropriate volume knobs.

I don't want to complain, it's fine for me but is this a factory wiring of the 2006 model or has this been rewired later? The elecronics and the wiring seems to be untouched, though.

I think it's factory.

???? Sorry, but what's wrong with my question? My english is not so good, so maybe there is something ridiculous in my posting?

Nothing is wrong with your question.

This guy is a troll that has been haunting this place, in one form or another, for a long time. He's an ass with a computer.

I'm not sure that there IS an opposite sex for this one -- even on his home planet.

Inspiron,
Possibly a problem with your switch shorting in the center position.
A clear picture of the control cavity might allow us to eliminate any problems with the wiring of your pots.

Just a thought,

Papa

I checked with my friend (a zoologist)...
There are male and female jackass.

OK, thanks for the hints so far. I'm on our friday rehearsal tonight, but I will take a picture of the control cavity tomorrow.
