I love that. I love band names that are innocuous and common parlance. Easy to remember is a huge bonus. Melvin Whistlepig looks kitschy and funny, but not easy to remember. After that, the name is what you make it.
The Beatles...really a pretty dumb name (except it was a bit clever to change the "beet" to "beat"). But nobody would say that because the band was so great. I think I saw an interview with the Beatles and they were asked about the name and one of them said something like "we could have called the band "The Shoes" for all you know"
