That is dyed Maple Burl with Blue Acrylic Resin. That piece of wood came from the Ukraine!

I am, but there are more collectors and users there than makers. Not a lot of interaction or advice. I'm a member of Blade Forums and Knife Dogs. Both great places to get advice from professionals!

Hand Forged?

Stock removal from flat steel. Cut, shaped, ground, heat treated and completely made from scratch by me. I tried forging, but I'm getting too old to swing a 2-pound hammer!

I still have my small forge, anvil and hammers. I may make a small blade from time to time.
