At the recent pre-NAMM Friedman amplification concert featuring Phil X and Steve Stevens, with Pete Thorn and Billy Morrison for the introduction of Steve's new Friedman SS 100 Signature amplifier.
Steve is using a humbuckered wrap tail Gold Top with black trim.
What an awesome amp this is, I believe Steve was using a Koko boost on some solos and using the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo to great effect.
On Les Paul Forum I posted this and some said the guitar may be one of the 55 series reissues. Basically an Oxblood style Gold Top.
Sounds killer..

This two channel amp has a Fender Twin style clean channel and the similar to Hairy Brown Eye channel which is more traditional Marshall plexi styled, obviously with more gain as Steve prefers, but this amp is extremely versatile.
Basically the final version of the Marsha amp Steve has been touring with for the past two years.
Liking this Gold Top, wonder what pickups he has in it?
