I was interested in it a while ago until the rep contacted Gibson and found out it has a 60s neck. Good to see it back though. Wildwood Guitars has a historic version as well.

a few weeks ago that same exact guitar on Sweetwater was $1,200.+

..so it's cheaper now.

I paid $699 each for both of my 2012 Jr Sps, kind of glad I bought two looking at the prices they're charging for the 2014s

The only thing I don't like about it is that the finish is not translucent enough. I'm used to looking at the older ones and seeing the woodgrain. I do love the binding and the wraparound tailpiece though. I noticed that people are selling used custom shop versions of this guitar in the $1500 to $1800 range. I'm currently looking at getting a used TV White one next week. Like the man says, slapping a P90 on a big hunk of mahogany seems to be magical.

I already have a 2010 50's tribute with P90's that sounds and looks sweet. I probably wait and see.

It is taking everything in me not to buy one of these right now!!!!!! I sit and stare at my screen looking at it with mouse hovering over the add to cart button. The only reasons I hesitate are because I think my wife would throw me out of the house if I purchase another guitar, and because my heart really desires a double cut in TV Yellow..... Oh but it is soo, soo, tempting!!!!!! Dear lord baby jesus, help me from my temptations!!!!!

I hated the inlay too but then I realized while playing it... I don't notice it. They're like a LP Sp Jr Lite.. you also get some interesting tones out of them.
