I bought one from Japan that had been overtightened enough to pull the rod forward in the neck. There is an article on the StewMac website on repairing it. It has a very humorous photo too. I won't spoil the surprise of that.

Anyway, I knew I had read that article before and found it again. I punched the rod back into place, added washers and it works now. It did require some fret work in the area of the hump though.
