Speaker ohm load? Is this ok to do?

Basically two 12" speaker cabs running parallel configuration. Each speaker is 16ohm with 8ohm overall load. Installing vintage Celestion without the four lugs like v30 had. Is my wiring safe for the amp still or do the wires for the other speaker output have to be soldered directly to the speaker instead of the Y configuration I've made up? Following pics show factory harness before I cut and connected the two wires together (second pic) Small jumpers off speaker to facilitate easy speaker swaps in the one top cabinet.

its fine so long as theres no chance of the connectors becoming disconnected,

those Lucas blade connectors usually snug up pretty tight

I think the soldered connection would break before that plug comes apart unless you yank the wire

Looks safe. I rebuild amps all the time. Go for it.
