I don't really need anything to wake up. My "mental alarm clock" wakes most mornings. But I still set an alarm, just for backup. I can do harder stuff in the morning, but I like slower tunes to ease me into the day.
I used to have Eric Clapton Slowhand on the turntable. The stereo had clock unit with switchable outlets to turn on pieces of the system.
I always thought Detroit Rock City was cool, because you can hear the dishes rattling and it sounds like someone is in the kitchen.

Right now I got Nicolo Paganini 24 Caprice in the CD alarm clock. I work on my Rocksmith just before bed, and when I hear that in the morning, I get confused somtimes and think it is the song I'm working on, and think, "Man, am I screwed. I ain't never gonna play that.".
