Hey everyone... I get a lot of questions about this guitar, so I figured I'd make a sound clip.

Just a short little mess around on the clean channel of my MKIV. Nothing special, sloppy as hell *I'm home with the flu, thats why I figured I'd do this*.

Recording is TERRIBLE. I stuck my laptop in front of the Mark IV and used the built in mic. It's bad, and doesn't do the guitar justice.

I think the volume is overdriving the mic at some parts too. haha

I'll try the silent recording thing later. Never had a chance to use it.

Still not Gibson's best sounding guitar, but it does something pretty unique.

I think the recording is great. Can I have some tab to practice the chords? Oh I suppose I can figure it out the chords aren't hard, the style well I need to practice haha. I like the rough sound of the recording, sounder very heartfelt, personal, and organic. Please play it with your custom now haha~!

Nice LoKi, the sound like single coils.

Thanks guys! Does have a bit of a single coil type sound... both pickups on... Must be all the hollow space under the pickguard. I'll try it with the Custom and my Standard tomorrow with the same settings, and see how drastic the differences are.

I love the clean channel on the Mark IV. Class A goodness!

I think the tone was great. Some of those sonex guitars were really great even though they arent real wood. Cool. you should do a real comparison with your Standard, Sonex, and Custom with a mic recording. that would be cool.

Nice playing... Definitely a single-type sound à la SRV. :applause: I can't tell how much of the tone comes from the amp but it's a great overall sound. :thumb:

... so many guitars, so little money...:p
