That's actually kind of cool. Reminds me of the red stripe tires of the 60s and early 70s.
I used to have a set on my Sting-Ray bike. (and the rear tire was a drag slick)

1979 Gibson Les Paul electric guitar - $350 (Decatur)

This is a vintage 1979 Gibson Les Paul model electric made by Gibson Japan. In the 70s, Gibson contracted with Japanese manufacturers - this is anything but a knock-off. Do a search - plenty of folks argue they sound better than American Gibs, but you can get one for $350 instead of over a grand.
It's a custom John Sykes model Les Paul, with classy red enamel lining the sides of the neck and body, and without the mother of pearl neck inlay of the classic John Sykes.
See pics for the bit of enamel on the bottom that has worn off with time, unnoticable from most any angle.
Most importantly, it sounds awesome, as a Gibson should.
Price slightly negotiable, cash only.

"...In the 70s, Gibson contracted with Japanese manufacturers (again WTF!)..."

:laugh2:

Technically true... at least by the 80s. Orville by Gibson. That said, Gibson has never released a guitar made outside the US under the Gibson brand.
