Someone posted the Jimmy Page one in an Epi thread last night and I got to watching it and others and they're really good showcases for the different Epiphones they use in each video.

One thing that stands out to me from these videos and "Tone Quests" is that the amps and pedals made today are so much better then they were (budget wise) 20 years ago.
It's almost like the amp and pedals are the most important thing and the guitar itself is just the input device for the tone shaping. Of course starting out with a decent sounding and playing guitar is important, but some of these videos really show just plugging any ol' Epiphone into a decent Marshall (DSL 40) and driving it hard with some type of pedal boost or EQ pedal, can easily get a totally good and usable sound.
LP into Marshall just works.
Playing well makes the best sound. Gear comes second to playing well.
These guys play well and every video (while not 100% perfect) produces a very good usable sound they're shooting for, on a budget.
(Plus who knows how much better it sounds Live compared to a compressed YouTube video recording.)
Anyway just thought the videos were well done and really shows off just how good and perfectly capable a variety of Epiphones are for a variety of styles,...stock.
So if you have the time and feel like watching some Epis getting plowed (which is never boring) these are some fun videos.
(also damn that Mastodon video for making me want an Explorer and the TooL video for making me want a delay pedal!)
(*thanks to whoever posted the Jimmy Page link yesterday/last night
