Cheers everybody, been awhile since I posted but wanted to say hello. When COVID started I decided to start recording my own music, and by my own stuff, I've been teaching myself drums so I record my own drums, guitar, and bass. So I've recorded about 40-50 songs in the last year, none have vocals unfortunately (basically a combo of fear of singing and lack of ideas for lyrics). I mean, I'm no great musician but I think my stuff is ok. My dad likes it, lol.

I feel like I should give some backstory on this stuff. A lot of times when you hear my songs sorta stop its because I screwed up drums but decide to improvise. The first link, a lot of that was me messing around on drums then just sorta adapting guitar and bass around it. Then fudging the ending and fading it out early (heh).

The second one I'm sharing because it is one of the first riffs I ever wrote, like I probably bragged about it on here years ago because I was so happy to have some progress. I put it on a looper, came up with the drums and ran with it. I also added a sound clip from the Warriors at the beginning because why not.

The third is probably one of my better punk type songs. I don't know, its nothing special but I really like it.

Gah!
Those are awesome.
I like the whole overall sound on Chase, and the drive of Bombing Victim.
Actually like Rapid Fire best!
Drums have a great sound, nice tonality; better than my guy.

Thank you! I appreciate it. I bought a new set last summer, Gretsch Energy, and they're pretty cool. They're not like a hugely expensive kit, but I put new resonant and batter drum skins on it, made a world of different. I've got a fairly decent set up as well and I'm constantly playing around with mic placement for everything.

Yeah, I think Rapid Fire is my best song thus far and a lot of it is really just improvised. I screwed up on the drums a few times when recording but just went with it. Then I sorta just wrote the bass line and went from there.
