Hi guys, I got a question, can anyone tell if this is a real strat or not. I've already been burned once on ebay, and don't plan on doing it again. It looks really nice, and the headstock says made in usa, but labels are easy to print. No serial# that I can see. Any help would be great. I'm thinking of bidding.

Hi!

I don't think that's real... I'm not a Fender expert at all, but there are a number of features that I feel are fishy - and it also looks very cheap!

I might be wrong, but my gut tells me this is not a good deal!

there is no serial number..... unless that is how it is... but it looks fishy to me. A custom shop guitar starting at 350? I would expect a higher price

Therte's a few things about the neck that looks like a Squier. The string trees for one. I have a Squier neck and the trees are in the same place. But even my Squier has a serial number. That looks like a Partscaster that someone put together. I think the seller knows that, but just wants to play stupid and act like he doesn't play guitar hoping that someone is dumb enough to pay $350 for that guitar.

Gouges around the truss rod and the lack of lacquer above the nut bug me.
