Hey y’all, here goes another one from the collection.
Signed by Paul Reed Smith himself.
CONFIRMED BY PRS CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO BE BRAZILIAN AND NOT INDIAN ROSEWOOD AS MANY ON HERE HAVE CLAIMED. (See photo)
$9000 on reverb
$8000 net or best reasonable offer for the forum boys for such an early year, mint condition, rare color, signed by PRS himself.
If you want clearer pictures, please ask, happy to provide them. Anything that looks like a blemish is light/ reflection/ dust
When the Santana model was released to the public in 1995, it was called the PRS Santana Signature model. It was only when the Santana II came out in 2000 that this first model became known as the Santana 1. The Santana Signature model was made for only a few years, so these guitars are a rarity. Furthermore, this 1st series is the only model with the two mini-switches, for pickup selection & standby.
This excellent-condition Santana was made in 1996 & features a unique Trans Black finish, over a gorgeous flame maple top with the signature Santana Abalone top inlay. The mahogany body & neck promise fantastic sustain & thick tone, while the Brazilian rosewood fretboard with PRS signature bird inlays provides great feel & looks to match. Santana Bass & Treble Zebra Coil humbuckers are wired to master Volume & Tone controls with 2 twin toggle mini-switches. The PRS tremolo bridge & locking tuners guarantee you'll always play in tune.
This is a killer guitar in sound, playability, & aesthetic, & one that is equally worthy of the Carlos Santana & Paul Reed Smith names.
Characteristics & appointments include:
Original pre-production body shape
East Coast Artist Grade Maple flame "10" top
Signature Santana Abalone top inlay
Mahogany neck
Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with rippled abalone bird inlays
11.5 in. radius, 24 1/2 inch scale
PRS Eagle inlay on natural wood headstock
abalone OM symbol inlaid on truss rod cover
3 + 3 PRS locking tuners
PRS tremolo system
2 Santana Zebra Coil humbucker pickups
1 volume & 1 tone control
2 mini switch pickup selectors
Flamed Trans Black top, natural back
Polished chrome
Produced from 1995-1998, this instance was finalized at some point during late 1996. Weight: 3.66Kg / 8lb 1oz
Includes black/black 3-clip PRS hard shell slab case, with original trem arm
