2014 Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop VOS ‘58 R8. Lemon Burst. Awesome vintage looking top, beautiful flame but not overly flashy. Pics are no flash, cell phones pics. Real dark Rosewood fretboard.

Very near mint. A few very minor marks on the back. Frets are perfect. No binding bleed. Super clean.

All stock, Custombucker’s, etc.

Killer chunky neck on this one. Full with mild shoulders.

Weighs 8.62 lbs. You could shave off a few more ounces if you swap the metal toggle switch cover with the plastic one that’s included.

Sets up and plays amazing. Neck is set very straight, low action, no issues. It’s a good one.

Makes my mouth water. The big neck scares me. Is it round and comfy? Do the shoulders slow you down? Can small hands deal with it?

Yes, round and super comfy to me, but I like big necks. It has very mild shoulders, not like a lot of the older R7/8’s that are clubby. I’m going to measure the neck ASAP.

My R8 from 2014 is only a few numbers away so I'd assume the necks should be fairly similar. The 2014 necks are way more comfortable compared to the older ones which have much more shoulder to them. Even though I prefer a thicker R9 neck by a tad, the R8 is very comfy to play for me

That's a big neck, without much taper. I'm going to measure my 2004 SG, which has a 59-ish neck, and see how they compare. I LOVE that SG neck!
