I've decided to put up for sale my 1969 Fender Mustang in original Competition Orange finish with matching headstock. I actually haven't had this very long, but am a little over-bought at the moment and need to move several things, all of which I wish I could keep.
This guitar is in really great shape for its age and is all original. The frets are original as well, but are quite worn. I have no trouble paying it and haven't experienced any dead spots or choking out even when bending notes, but they are worn down pretty low.
This is one of my favorite Fender colors and my favorite of the competition colors. This example is a really nice-looking one. Some of the pics (the ones on the couch with the grayish background) make it look more washed out than it actually is. The color is still vivid like you see in the pics with the case and on the table.
Weight is 7 lbs, 0.6 oz.
Neck date is 16 JUL 69 B.
Here are the neck thickness measurements:
1st fret: 0.866"
7th fret: 0.905"
12th fret: 0.936"
The nut width is 1 5/8".
Included in the sale is an original 1969 catalog, vintage strap, sales receipt (for strings), as well as the original hardshell case in pretty good condition.
Looking for $2795 PP/shipped, ConUS only.
