Incredible example of a 62yr old Gibson acoustic. Guitar plays well and sounds out of this world. Comes with original chipboard case in great condition. Shoot me a pm if you're interested.

I have always wanted one of these...how did you come about the date?

Has it ever had a neck re-set?

It is a very clean example.

Two ways.... first was an old appraisal from Gruhn and then again recently from Bob Burns at Gibson.

I do. I can pm later tonight if you're interested.

Re-set as in neck reset? Nothing to my knowledge, plays well.

Has the top crack been repaired?

Have the tuners been changed?

I would really like pics of the back of the headstock/serial number/inside label.

Yes tuners were changed. I still have the originals.

I haven't noticed any cracks. I'll have to look closer.

You should have received pics of the back of the headstock. I'll take more for you this weekend.

I did receive them along with the appraisal......which says there was a top-crack in 1996 and was left out of your description, as was the tuner change.

on?

There is no top crack that I can see. I have original tuners that go with guitar. The only thing that looks remotely close to a crack would be the seam on the top. Maybe that's what they were referring to... cant' say for sure. That was 23yrs ago.

I appreciate you finally taking the time to let me know....I think with the info on the appraisal, I just don't want to take a chance.
