Imagine getting a '59 at an auction and then discover it's one of the bad sounding ones...

The lefty '57, known as "The Jack Reid Goldtop", would be on my short list too, although I'd probably start with this '54 that I owned in the early 1990s, and stupidly sold. I had the chance to get it back three years ago when it came up for sale on eBay, and couldn't quite pull it off.

#9 0975 Peter Green - Fleetwood Mac
And then a shitload of LP Special DC from those years.

Holy shit that would be ridiculous.

I can't find that post from ~2 months ago where someone inherited a (basically) pristine '59 LP. I'd totally get that one. :p

To beat out all of the other instant millionaires here, I choose Mick Ronson's Norlin and would be a happy, greedy, fan/collector. He carved out the sound that was going on in my youth(and a little before). His genius infected my brain with the wild, fancy-man sound of the era.
I could occasionally light a candle in front of it, then take it down and remember my shag haircut, skin tight pants, and rock my neighbors until they called the cops.
